A BIT OF HISTORY
Originally Indian territory inhabited by the Yavapai tribe, Dewey-Humboldt attracted settlers in search of gold in the early 1800s. The birth of Dewey-Humboldt resulted in the union of two neighboring towns in the Agua Fria River Valley which merged the farming wealth of Dewey with the mining prosperity of Humboldt.
While Dewey-Humboldt is a small area, residents can enjoy the rich scenic views of the Arizona landscape. Located in the high desert, this area allows for a pleasant climate with occasional snowfall during the winter months.
